The Asana & Alchemy yoga philosophy.

Movement as a practice of presence and care.

My approach to yoga and wellbeing is guided by the belief that care does not need to be forceful to be effective. Lasting change happens when the body feels supported, the nervous system feels safe and movement is offered with intention.

Asana + Alchemy is shaped as a space where presence, breath and rhythm guide the practice. Each offering invites you to move with awareness, soften into sensation and reconnect with yourself in a way that feels sustainable and supportive.

  • An approach centred on the nervous system

Creating safety through movement and breath.

At the heart of this work is nervous system awareness. When the nervous system feels supported, the body can settle, the breath can deepen and space opens for restoration and connection.

Practices are guided with attention to pacing, choice and rest. Breath awareness is woven throughout to support regulation, helping you feel steadier and more present in your body.

This approach supports those feeling overstimulated, tense or disconnected, offering a grounded way to return to the body and rebuild trust from within.

  • Movement guided by intention

    Slowing down to listen inward.

Movement here is not about pushing or achieving. It is an invitation to listen, notice and respond.

Sequences are thoughtfully designed to encourage embodied awareness, allowing you to move with clarity and care. Stillness is welcomed as part of the practice, offering moments to integrate, reflect and rest.

This style of movement supports a deeper relationship with the body, one that honours natural rhythm and individual capacity.

  • Care that feels human and supportive

    Meeting you where you are.

Everything I offer is guided by deep listening and respect for individual experience. Practices are inclusive and adaptable, with options provided so you can move in a way that feels right for you on the day.

You’re invited to arrive as you are, without expectation or pressure. Rest, observation and pauses are welcomed as part of the practice.

This philosophy recognises the body as a place of wisdom and values care that supports both physical wellbeing and inner experience.

  • Ritual, rhythm and presence

    Working with cycles and seasons.

Ritual plays a meaningful role in my work. Simple, intentional moments help create a sense of steadiness and continuity, especially during times of change or uncertainty.

Seasonal themes, intention setting and reflective practices may be woven into classes and events, offering gentle structure and a sense of connection to rhythm and cycle.

These elements are included thoughtfully and always in service of supporting presence and care.

An invitation to practice

If you’re seeking a slower, more intentional approach to yoga that supports presence, regulation and embodied awareness, you’re warmly invited to practice here.

Whether through weekly classes or seasonal offerings, Asana & Alchemy offers space to reconnect, soften and move with care.
